Solar panels are not required for back-up only systems.
Solar panel recommendation is 6-9 (60-72 cell) panels in series (MPPT #1)
Add additional 6-9 (60-72 cell) panels in series for higher production yield (MPPT#2)
Recommend a combination between 12-18 solar panels in a parallel / series configuration (2 parallel strings of 6-9 panels in series) for an ideal off-grid system. Helpful Hint with Sol-Ark hybrid inverters:
Unlike most string inverters - Sol-Ark hybrid inverter solution will not have a complete power loss for a series string of modules if one of the panels goes bad (stops producing) *** so as long the total voltage of the remaining panel meets or exceeds the min MPPT voltage range of 150VDC.
