Tiny homes, mobile or marine applications, off-grid applications, and grid-tie battery backup applications. (Note that the 5kW inverter The 5K inverter will NOT be added to the CEC (California Energy Commission) or HECO (Hawaii Electric) lists for grid connection.) However, 5K can still be installed OFF-GRID applications in these markets. (You can add more batteries for additional capacity if desired.)

All Hybrid Inverter PV Systems will need rapid shutdown. The IMO BG10P34-11 remote shutdown button is an outdoor initiation switch that can be used to trigger PV system rapid shutdown.

IEEE 1547-2018 requires the local communications interface to remain available whenever the DER is operating. This indirectly creates a requirement for the IQ Gateway not to reboot during and following a low voltage ride through event. The IQ Gateway hardware was redesigned to meet this requirement so installers must only choose from the list of supported hardware and be running software versions 7.3.460 or later to be fully compliant.

Solar panel recommendation is 6-9 (60-72 cell) panels in series (MPPT #1)
Add additional 6-9 (60-72 cell) panels in series for higher production yield (MPPT#2)
Recommend a combination between 12-18 solar panels in a parallel / series configuration (2 parallel strings of 6-9 panels in series) for an ideal off-grid system. Unlike most string inverters - Sol-Ark hybrid inverter solution will not have a complete power loss for a series string of modules if one of the panels goes bad (stops producing) *** so as long the total voltage of the remaining panel meets or exceeds the min MPPT voltage range of 150VDC.
