Detailed Description

The Enphase M250 Microinverter delivers increased energy harvest and reduces design and installation complexity with its all-AC approach. With the M250, the DC circuit is isolated and insulated from ground, so no Ground Electrode Conductor (GEC) is required for the micro inverter. This further simplifies installation, enhances safety, and saves on labor and materials costs.

The Enphase M250 integrates seamlessly with the Engage Cable, the Envoy Communications Gateway, and Enlighten, Enphase's monitoring and analysis software.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Will the Enphase M250 work with my solar panel?

The Enphase M250 is compatible with most 60-cell solar panels with an output between 210 and 300 Watts. If you aren't sure if your panels are compatible, please give us a call at 888-899-3509 ext. 1.

  • How many drops of Engage cable do I need?

Each drop has a special M250 connector right in the middle, so you will need one drop for each M250 in your array. Be sure to add an extra drop for each row after the first to allow the cable reach up to the next row. Also note that you can have a maximum of 17 240VAC or 25 208VAC M250s on one string. If you need any help sizing your Enphase solar system, please give us a call at 888-899-3509 ext. 1.

  • How are the Engage cable drops cut?

Drops are cut at the halfway point between two connectors, allowing about 20" of cable between the last connector and the end of the cable for portrait layout and 33.5" for landscape layout.

  • Do I need 208 or 240 VAC Engage cable?

208 VAC is usually for commercial projects, while 240 VAC is for residential.

  • I want a micro inverter. Should I get an M215 or an M250?

The Enphase M215 micro inverter is physically slightly smaller and can handle 60 cell panels up to 260 Watts. The Enphase M250 is larger and can handle 60 cell panels up to 300 watts.
