Manufacturer's Description

XR Rails can be easily extended with our patented internal splice bars. The internal splice bars do not interfere with clamping or with mounting, and offer a near seamless appearance. XR Rail Splices are made with extruded 6000 series aluminum. Self-drilling screws are included.

Tools for Installation

  • Screw Gun (Cordless Drill); 5/16 socket
  • Tape Measure or Ruler

Installation Steps

  1. Slide the internal splice halfway into the internal cavity of the rail. It should extend approximately six (6) inches into the cavity of the XR100 Standard Rail.
  2. Using one (1) self-drilling, self-tapping screw, one (1") inch from the edge of the XR100 base rail, secure the internal splice in the rail as shown in the main item picture.
  3. The screws will drill through both the XR100 Standard rail and the splice into the central cavity of the internal splice.
  4. Slide the second XR100 base rail over the internal splice until the two XR100 base rails are butting together tightly and evenly.
  5. Then drive one (1) self-tapping screw through the second XR100 base rail, again about one (1") inch from the edge--occupying the same horizontal location as the first XR100 rail.
  6. Repeat these steps for installing any remaining XR100 Standard rail splices.
