Detalied Description:

SunWize Grid-Tie System packages allow you to choose from a multiple selection of solar modules matched with a variety of grid-tie inverters. Your pre-engineered SunWize Grid-Tie System will include:

1. Solar Modules - choose one of the following:
- Sanyo 190W or 200W - Sharp 175W, 176W, 198W or 224W - Kaneka 60W. Solar modules are supplied equipped with "MC" type interconnects. Solar modules are supplied equipped with “MC” type interconnects.

2. UniRac® SolarMount code-compliant, flush PV mounting structure of clear anodized aluminum including rail set with L–feet and attachments for shingle roofs, top-clamps and splice kits. Adjustable tilt leg sets for mounting to horizontal surfaces are sold separately. Systems using the Sharp 176W and 198W modules are installed with the Sharp OnEnergy mounting system.

3. Outdoor-rated Grid-Tie Inverter with LCD digital output display- choose one of the following:
-Xantrex GT series with integrated AC/DC disconnect switch - SMA-Sunny Boy series with integrated AC/DC disconnect switch and 4 PV string fused combiner - Fronius IG series with a pre-wired SunWize Power Center consisting of an aluminum back panel, NEMA 3R, AC and DC disconnect switches. The Power Center is designed to facilitate easy on-site installation of the inverter. There is an optional digital kWh meter with socket box (Part # 400010). Inverters come with standard 10-year warranties. Fronius offers the option to extend the warranty to 15-years.

For three-phase installations, many SMA inverters are field configurable for 208 or 277 AC output voltage

4. Wiring – Includes #10 AWG MC interconnect extension sub-array cords, wire management system with cable ties and wire clips, PV copper grounding lug system, PV fused combiner (if needed) and array wiring pull boxes. The home-run wiring from the solar array to the main panel is supplied by the installer.

6. Documentation – Includes electrical drawings, data sheets, warranties, installation instructions and owner’s manual.

Kaneka's amorphous silicon PV module has superior light absorption.  Compared to mono-crystalline silicon PV modules or poly-crystalline silicon PV modules, Kaneka's module generates considerably more power.

Superior performance under high-temperatures

Kaneka's amorphous silicon modules provide superior performance under high-temperatures during summer, making a difference in actual generated watt-power.  Mono-crystalline modules lose some power-generating capabilities when the temperature rises.  On the other hand, the Kaneka amorphous silicon PV module generates higher power during the summer.  They can deliver maximum performance during summer when the electricity is needed most for air-conditioners in houses and offices.

Outstanding reliability

Kaneka's amorphous silicon PV module maintains initial energy conversion efficiency (after full stablization) over a long period, attesting to its outstanding reliability.

Environmentally Friendly

Another advantage of Kaneka's amorphous silicon module is it uses less material and energy, thereby enabling high productivity for mass production.  Kaneka is able to do this because the single junction of a-Si layer can be made extremely thin.  The thickness of a-Si cell is 0.3µm, which is 1/600th of a crystalline silicon cell (approximately 200µm).

Shorter Energy Pay-Back Time (EPT)

EPT is the time a PV module "pays back" the energy used in its manufacture by its own power generation.  The EPT of an amorphous-Si PV is 1.6 years, which is approximately 60 months shorter than that of crystalline silicon PV (2.2 years).  EPT is one of the most important aspects when evaluating the ecological benefit of PV systems.

GRID-TIED INVERTERS FOR PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS Light Weight At 26 lbs, the FRONIUS IG inverters are the lightest grid-connected inverters making them easy-to-install. Flexible The wide voltage range of 150-500 V allows you to use different types of modules and system configuration possibilities. Lower Cost Integrated DC / AC disconnects reduce installation time and complexity. LCD Display User-friendly and comes standard with every FRONIUS IG; tracks more than 20 critical system performance parameters. Plug-and-Play Expansion slots in the inverter allow you to easily upgrade the inverter with data communication options.

Fronius IG Interters

The FRONIUS IG inverters offer high efficiency, precision MPP-tracking, and intelligent thermal management, all of which deliver  high quality energy output from grid-tied photovoltaic systems. Their wide input voltage range (150-450 volts) enable the use of modules in any power and voltage range. Their light weight and innovative mounting hardware make them very easy to install.

Built-in DC and AC disconnects eliminate the need for external breakers in some cases, decreasing total system costs. FRONIUS IG inverters come standard with an integrated LCD that displays and records over 20 parameters related to the inverter and system operation. Fronius inverters have 3 expansion slots that allow you to add features, such as external sensors and remote displays. You can use a personal computer to update the inverter with the latest software upgrades.
The larger inverters (over 3kw) are built with the same power stages as the smaller ones, but use 2 of them. When these inverters see less than 1/2 array capacity, one stage turns off, giving the inverter higher efficiency during periods of low insolation. UL listed. 7-year warranty.
