Detailed Description
The Attic Breeze AB-203D solar attic vent features a remote mounted 20
watt attached solar panel, corrosion resistant zincalume alloy vent
housing, ultra-quiet 14 inch fan, thermal switch, and rodent guard.
This attic vent will move up to 1350 CFM of hot attic air in full sun
exposure. The curb-mount vent housing of the AB-203 and AB-204 models
is most appropriate for either tile or metal roofs. The AB-203D solar
attic vent is designed for homes that do not have good
southern-southwestern sun exposure for the desired attic vent
installation location and require the flexibility of a remotely mounted
solar panel. This model comes standard with low profile solar panel
mounting brackets. Mounting brackets for this model may be upgraded to
our fully adjustable universal mounting bracket option. Unit ships with
unpainted finish that can be customized to match your home's outside
decor.
Do I need a thermal switch?
Attic
Breeze solar attic fans ship
standard with a thermal switch included to control the operation of the
fan based on the temperature of the attic. The thermal switch
minimizes attic heat loss during colder months and extends the run life
of the unit. Removal of the thermal switch allows the solar attic fan
to be operated continuously, where attic temperature does not control
fan operation. This option is recommended for customers in colder
climates who may have a need for removing attic
moisture during winter months.
The thermal switch is available on all Attic
Breeze models.

Mounting Brackets
Attic Breeze solar attic vents featuring remote mounted solar
panels ship standard with low profile solar panel mounting brackets.
These brackets are not adjustable for the angle or direction of the
solar panel and can only be mounted onto your roof. Our universal
mounting bracket option allows for several different mounting options
and gives full directional and inclination adjustability of the
remotely mounted solar panel.
Universal Bracket: This fully adjustable universal
mounting bracket allows you to mount your remote solar panel either on
a pole, the side of a wall, or on top of your roof. Once mounted, the
solar panel can be adjusted to any angle or direction desired.
Standard Bracket: Our standard low profile mounting
brackets offer a secure and convenient method for mounting your remote
mounted solar panel. These brackets are not adjustable for the angle or
direction of the solar panel and can only be mounted on top of your
roof.
